This is a little area called Sand Hill Camp. It’s a little area for family at Ntaria (Hermannsburg). We used to live there, but now we live in Mparntwe .Other family still live there. Sometimes we go like for funeral we’ll go round the Sand Hill Camp to visit families.

Daughter of Tangentyere Artists’ Marjorie Williams and mother of Ingrid Williams, another of Tangentyere Artists, Coralie Williams has painted for many years. Born at Ntaria (Hermannsburg), Coralie worked as a receptionist for the local Ntaria Council. In 2004 Coralie moved with family to Mparntwe (Alice Springs). She grew up painting with her mum and also taught her kids. While in Mparntwe, Coralie was the Luritja language teacher at Yeperenye School. She left in 2023 and joined her mother and daughter in Tangentyere Artists’ studio creating figurative works about the various aspects of her life. Since 2022 she has worked with Tangentyere Youth Services, delivering painting workshops in the Town Camps.

Desert Mob is presented annually in Mparntwe | Alice Springs on Arrernte Country.
