The mountains Anyali near Ikuntji (Haast Bluff) and Papunya. I was born here. This site is associated with the traditional Dreaming of Luritja people.

My name is Stanley Ebatarinja and I was born on the 22nd of May 1971 in Papunya. I moved to Hermannsburg/Ntaria, the homeland of my parents, when I was 13 years old. The brother of my father, Desmond, was the one who introduced me to watercolour. I used to live with him and his wife. I still paint both ways [watercolour and dot painting] my country. I consider Ellery Creek and Hermannsburg as my homeland. It always makes me happy to admire all the work of my dad [uncle] Desmond. I feel very grateful for the gifts of my parents, and all my family who practiced the watercolour before me.

Desert Mob is presented annually in Mparntwe | Alice Springs on Arrernte Country.
