Margaret Bloomfield is related by marriage to the Youngs – a family that has been deeply involved at Keringke Arts since its establshment in 1989. She is also the granddaughter of the late Billy Benn Perrurle, a well known landscape from Atitjere (Harts Range). Her mother-in-law is Josette Young. Originally from Atitjere, Margaret moved to Ltyentye Apurte in 2002, and began watching and learning from Mary and Evelyn Young. She soon discovered her own passion for painting. Margaret’s work is influenced by this strong relationship to family.
Desert Mob is presented annually in Mparntwe | Alice Springs on Arrernte Country.
