This one is called alye. I used to see a lot of old people, they used to use alye for hunting. But not only hunting, alye is a weapon, too. They used to make it from one tree; the one was artetye, that’s the mulga tree. But this alye, we’re trying all the different kind of trees now. Because I used to see my uncle, my father’s brother, he used to have a lot of boomerangs, but from different kinds of trees, too. They [old people] used to make it… well, I’m making it now. I used to see them doing it, standing next to them when I was young fella and I would think, ‘I wish I had one of those. I really wish I had one of those’. And now I’m making it.
