In this painting the artist has painted one of her late father’s dreamings, the Tjunginpa (Marsupial Mouse) Tjukurrpa  at the site of Marnpi to the south of the Walungurru (Kintore) Community. The mice were looking for food and water at this site.

Angelina Marks Nungurrayi is the daughter of world-renowned artist Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri, and Elizabeth Nakamarra, also an established Papunya Tula artist. She began painting in Walungurru (Kintore) in 2000. Angelina has taken over custodial rights for her father’s country around Marnpi south of Walungurru, associated with the Tjunginpa (Marsupial Mouse) Tjukurrpa .

Desert Mob is presented annually in Mparntwe | Alice Springs on Arrernte Country.
