Adam Butler has painted his grandfathers’ and fathers’ country of Wingaltirri, near Kulkurta. Tjukurla Community was established as the nearest outpost to this sacred country. Kulkurta is a very significant place in the Tingarri story, the place where the Tingarri ancestors came out of the earth. Wingaltjirri is the site of Papa Tjukurpa, or Dog Dreaming, as there are many dingoes there.
