I have painted the Tjukurpa for Kanpi area. The story is about Wati Kalaya (the Emu Man). I learnt this story from my Grandfather Jimmy Baker.

Fabian Baker learnt the Emu Story from his grandfather, the respected elder and artist Jimmy Baker, as a child. He later taught himself to paint this story, years after his grandfather passed away, from looking at pictures of his work, and watching his other relatives paint. Fabian often travelled between the Indulkana and Kanpi communities, but he considered Kanpi to be his home, and brought his children there to go to school and learn the Tjurkurpa on their homelands. Fabian produced a small, but sought after body of work before before he passed away in 2023.
