Hubert Pareroultja is a senior Western Aranda and Luritja man who lives in his homeland, Kulpitharra/Luntharra outstation, west of Ntaria (Hermannsburg) in the western MacDonnell Ranges. When Hubert Pareroultja was a child, he watched the original Hermannsburg School watercolour artist Albert Namatjira, together with his father Reuben Pareroultja and uncles Otto and Edwin Pareroultja who are also acclaimed artists. Hubert paints many of the same locations that Namatjira and the Pareroultja brothers painted, in particular Tnorala (Gosse Bluff), Ntaria, Rutjipma (Mt Sonder) and James Range. Hubert’s work is displayed in many important collections around the country and his work has attracted many awards.
